So I talked this over with some peeps, mike also liked the idea a lot.

A specific texture pack to use for the RP would envelop you more into it.
So, ideas? or rather combine textures from different packs into one.

Lets hear them.
What about the copyright?
..copyright? this has nothing to do with copyrights. Creator of minecraft textures also have no copyrights. You cannot sue someone because you used his texture pack that me made for a game that he do not own.
Why dont we develop our own instead?

It could fit with the theme of the town

^^This is the texture pack that i use. It doesn't lag too much and the wooden plank texture is really nice.

Some other ideas are SummerFields, Jolicraft, Painterly Pack, Quandry, Creative One's Medieval Pack, SMP Revival, John Smith Texture Pack, SKYRIM Texture Pack (BTW it lags the hell out of me), Face Craft Texture Pack, CoroCraft, Star Wars Texture Pack (For those people who came to Terra Connue via Space :I), and the Balea Texture Pack.

Personally, to go with the theme, I think the John Smith Pack, SteelFeather's Enchanted Pack, CoroCraft, and SMP Revival are the best.

Greenie
I vote smp revival!
Also i think Equivilent Exchange plugin might be pretty cool.
We most definitely need the stone bricks and wool from John Smith, the cobble, mossy cobble and wood planks from dokucraft dark,These all work very well together in medieval buildings.

Trouble is finding a good stone and grass that people will like and be able to run without lag, sadly not all of us can have Oink's laptop..

For lag fixing I DO NOT recommend using Optifine, sometimes this mod can prevent minecraft from working, this is rare to happen but it does happen.I suggest simply adding more RAM to minecraft,Using me as an example.I went from 19 FP/s with a 64x64 texture pack,to 40-90 FP/s with a 64x64 texturepack and 2 high capacity mods installed (Buildcraft and Industrialcraft I2)

Here is the link for adding more RAM to minecraft: http://mikes-revenge.net/forum/thread-1797.html

There's this really cool texture pack I found a long time ago. Works real well with minecraft; no lag issues, literally has no setup time, standard 16x16 size. Because of it's flexibility. the textures in this pack can fit any setting from fantasy, to modern, to science fiction. I think it was called 'default' or something...
