Tossing around a few ideas and such to add to the forums;
So I finished integrating Papers homepage into the forums yesterday http://mikes-revenge.net/forum/home.php so now that it is under the forum hood I can code some stuff for it.
What I'm thinking is creating a feed which will pull the contents of the first post of new threads within a single forum, i.e. http://mikes-revenge.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=81 and display them via php, that way anyone with the permissions can make an announcement without the fuss of having to use ftp or write in html coding.
Another idea i'm tossing around is an addition to the mR Roster http://mikes-revenge.net/forum/Roster.php which I wrote a while back that generates an up-to-date roster based off forum permissions. This idea being a sort of "meet the team" kind of thing, where there will be an additional user profile bit where user groups can make a custom description. Along with that, their avatar, username and custom title will all be feed into a nicely designed page which may replace the roster entirely and become a 3 section page.
Lastly, I'm thinking about incorporating this in somewhere, http://mikes-revenge.net/lostbrother/Drawing4.jpg - maybe make it interactive and have clicking on a section will list contact info for the admin, server info, like status and mods, ips ect.
