Because the other thread is getting cluttered with everything, this thread is just for posting the lore and name of your province.

Below is the world lore by Odin.

All the gods are dead. Some say they were always dead, others say that the ice froze them to death. Whatever the reason, all the gods are dead.

It started about 1500 years ago when a meteor impact knocked the world farther from the star it orbits, causing sever glaciation. These glaciers sat freezing humanity to death as it slowly drifted farther from the sun. However the ice also saved the world from extinction. The ice caused the world's mass to change and its trajectory changed too, sending it back to a habitable, if cold, orbit. The ice at the equator began melting and humans were able to begin rebuilding.

Atlantica, a small archipelago in the Vast Transeatic sea was once a pinnacle of progress, scientists were discovering things at a rapid pace and the rest of the world was nearly a decade behind, however with the invention of the Semi-Rigid airship in 1204 A.T. (After Thaw) , all of the scientists left to go and explore the rest of the world they were once isolated from by the large oceans.

Those who remained found that without the plans for the inventions that once helped the world they had no way to replicate these inventions and fell behind technologically. When in 1404, 200 years after the invention of the aircraft, the last of the great "Giants of the sky" crashed down on Atlantica bringing an end to the age of the aircraft for most of the world. A few isolated nations still manufactured them, but for the majority of the world, they were now isolated from each other as the seas had grown more stormy and dangerous, preventing long sea voyages. Atlantica, and her nearest neighbor, Baltica, managed to maintain trade for a few more centuries until rising tensions over the pantheon of creation led to Atlantica sinking Baltica into the ocean and causing more international tension over the matter.

By 1705 A.T. The Atlantan Empire had dissolved into quarreling city states and poverty ridden Nations. Several decades passed before an industrial revolution dawned, bringing with it the return of steam power. Few of the nations were quick to embrace this new power, some outright refused to use it. Those who did accept these new technologies were able to get the leg up, but were generally distrusted and hated by the rest of the world.

Here is where your story begins. At the dawn of a decade, the small nations of the world are still quarreling over the invention of steam power, as the now isolated Atlantica begins to rediscover it's lost technologies. The gods are dead and the priests are discussing who will be the next pantheon of divine gods. What your destiny is however, is not of divine will, but of your own choice.

PROVINCE - THE HIGH NORTH
CAPITAL - THE HIGH CITADEL
ARCH-LORD - Xenol

The High North (normally just called 'the north') Is Highly forested northern tundra to the north west of Atlantica. The first of the 7 provinces to be formed, the High North is famed for its fierceness in battle.

The Capital - The High Citadel

Lore Regarding My section, the High Citadel - Capital of the North:

Built upon an ancient plateaux of stone, the High Citadel is the oldest city in all of Atlantica, the original fort being made 1500 years before the ice age. As impregnable as the rock it stands on, the great fortress has never been taken in battle, and stands as a symbol of the pride of northern workmanship and hardiness. Capital of the entire frozen north, the influence of the Citadel across Atlantica is large, and its bezerker troops are feared and honoured for their constant battle-readiness and skill with arms, especially the war axe.
The Main keep its self, called the Cathedradorium, is the seat of the high Arch-Lord of The north, Sir Xenolius.

PROVINCE - THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE CURSED
CAPITAL - WINDHEART
LORD-PROTECTOR - Odin

The Cursed Commonwealth is one of the newest of the seven Provinces, only a few decades old. When a group that disagreed with the philosophies of the High Citadel was exiled to the highwind peninsula, they created the commonwealth and its capital of Windheart, a home for exiles and outcasts. Those who lived there were considered heathens by the people of the High Citadel and as such were distrusted by most of the kingdoms. Those who did fine their way to Windheart found the promised home for outcasts, but also found the true poverty of Windheart.

Windheart is the seat of the Lord Protector Odin.

Meteors are by definition small. You must be talking about asteroids? Even if that's the case, no asteroid would be big enough to disrupt this planet's (presumably earth sized) orbit that severely. If Ceres, the largest known asteroid (really a dwarf planet - in between an asteroid and a planet) hit Earth, it wouldn't even make any noticeable changes to our orbit. Such an impact would surely wipe out all life on the planet and make it a big molten mess. For comparison, the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs is thought to have been 10 km in diameters. Ceres is 975 km in diameter.

Basically, it would never happen.

Blame odin :P And this is a fantasy world after all, perhaps it collided with its sister planet or something, idk
The world that this takes place on is somewhere closer to mars in size. And the Asteroid could be incredibly dense and compact. But yes, I did mean an Asteroid.
Scientists think that a large amount of dark matter passing through the solar system could alter the planet's orbit.
Guys, please, this is a goddam fantasy world set in a mediaeval atmosphere, I doubt they would have known the difference between an asteroid, or a meteor, or a vengeful spirit :P

The premise doesn't work, that's all
*le sigh* 'It all started when the world, by some random chance, slipped into an orbit close to its sister body, Ithato, and smashed with devastating force into it, sending our world on a new trajectory...' better?
yes

edit: no
perhaps all the inhabitants moved to one side of the planet and all farted together, thus altering the trajectory of the world..
