I use a dual boot setup with windows 10 for gaymen and a linux distro for muh browsin. I gotta say Windows 10 is pretty nice, however it is le botnet. These things will help with that. Using Windows 10 Pro edition.

First and for-most, I would recommend doing a custom install as so to turn off botnet features. When loaded up and running hit the windows start button and go to settings. In settings are well, your settings. Filled with lovely things like letting apps use your microphone and camera, and default on background apps etc. Go through all the tabs and turn off that shit homeboi. Winkey+x opens menu containing various option like cmd and various managers.

Windows defender. You can only temp disable it. To turn off permanently:
1.Run gpedit.msc
2.Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative   Templates > Windows Components > Windows Defender
3.Double click on "Turn off Windows Defender"
 4.Select "Enabled" > Apply > OK
5.Close Group Policy Editor

Turn off Windows 10 Telemetry/data gathering. Do the following:
1.run cmd in admin. Winkey+x to open menu then enter
2."sc stop dmwappushservice"
3."sc delete dmwappushservice"
4."sc stop DiagTrack"
5."sc delete DiagTrack"

Windows update disabler/manager. Google windows 10 update disabler or use this here dropbox:                 https://www.dropbox.com/s/0tcfxw4wflicb1...agcab?dl=0

Cortana. A "Her" AI assistant that collects data about how small your junk is and your various pony fetishes.
To disable go to settings, privacy, speech inking and typing, anh hit the dont get to know me to disable.I however went to task manager found the process and opened the file location. I then changed the file name at the end, added a 321, and then I disabled it in task manager. Thus forever blocking it.

Thee above worked flawlessly for me, however do not complain if yu turn your OS into a potato by doing something wrong.
Brought my cpu utilization down and reduced a tad bit of ram usage
For those who pirate a Windows 10 pro build 10240, use the cmd and your key:
slmgr /ipk W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX
slmgr /skms kms.xspace.in
slmgr /ato

Also a toolkit that I used with my Windows 10 RTM pro

Thanks babe

Appreciate the thread, I was able to convert developer edition into pro with the cmds
Do you know how one would go about forcing the install? I already have the files downloaded through the Get Windows 10 app, but I don't wanna wait for my install to come whenever MS wants.
I saw some command to force the update, but that also forces it to download again (which I don't want to do) through Windows Update..

You can download an installer from Microsoft here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10

and upgrade, though a few people are getting a "Something Happened" error with it (before installing, it's not harmful)
Installer just redownloads it as well.. I guess I'll just redownload it and get my install done lol

Probably the best option, I've just done it myself and after a couple of hours have it downloaded and ready to install. Probably a better option than waiting for the wave your PC is in to start!
To the people who already installed win 10, did it go smoothly? Should I worry about losing / corrupting certain data? Any major issues / bugs?

I would just create a system image to get rid of my worries but I don't have any big enough flash drives or external drives
Did a clean install from a usb and everything went smoothly. So far every program I've used in Win7 has worked
