Appealing Ban - corn783 - 03-19-2012

Subject should be: Ban Appeal - [Alex}

Username:boxingglove
Date:3/19/12
Server (Build, Vanilla, Legit, Terraria ect.):mike's revenge
Who were you banned by (please give whole name):
Reason you were banned:My son is a first time user and made the mistake of giving a friend his password so that the friend could share a skin with him. For reasons we don't understand, this boy threatened to have Alex "griefed" in school last week.

Reason you think you should be unbanned:By the time my son got home someone else (it can only be the boy who had his password) had gone in as boxingglove and destroyed a house. He was reported and banned even though he had not committed this destruction.
Evidence that proves you are not guilty (we will decide if it is allowed):I know that my son did not have access to a computer during the time in question and the person who impersonated him hinted that he had done so to other friends that evening.
Witnesses to the banning:moon988

Comments/questions/concerns:From this end, it feels like my son is in an endless loop: he can't go online in his old identity to clear his name. The only good thing to come out of this is that the person who tricked him and used his identity can no longer use it.

Ok, going to address the last paragraph here first, We're not minecraft.net or mojang. Your sons account is only banned from our servers, he and whoever else might have the password, can still use the account on any other of the thousands of minecraft servers. You will probably want to change the password on the account if you haven't already. go to http://www.minecraft.net to do that.

As for your sons appeal. We tend to get this kind of excuse a lot "my brother did it" "my friend did it with my account" "I've been hacked" etc and sometimes it's true but most times it isn't. So we tend to go with the rule, "your account, your responsibility." I will unban the account from our servers this time, if there are similar incidents in the future, this will count against the "boxingglove" account still.

Admins have alot on their hands,so do be patient.

If you think an admin has forgotten about you then simply bump the thread,like you have done,but not in such a manner as you have done.Be polite when reminding an admin.

Seen as you have bumped it you will probably be unbanned in the next day or so,or for the way addressed the issue and admin may carry the ban for a few days,to purely just teach you manners.

Anyone else think that that post (bad grammar and rage) was completely different to the first (good grammar, calm) as if it wasn't a parent?

I kind of agree. The tone and attitude was like a parent in the first post. Second post seems more of a child.

I unbanned the account name I was given, from each of our servers on the same day i made that post. Is it spelt right above?
