What is your price range
Also do you want windows 8 or windows 7?
Overall windows 8 runs better than 7, but dat metro look. Not many people are fans of it.

Yeah most laptops these days are Windows 8, which is difficult to learn how to use. But once you learn all the little tricks it isn't really that bad. Only drawback is that 8 is still getting updates and stuff which get annoying.
