FearEngine said he is, in layman's terms, being screwed at his job, so no time for Steam. He hasn't been online for almost a month but allowed me to build within the city. If our skyscraper lined crater also copies over flawlessly, then I have no objections for a new map. (Would be nice to see Wilson actually building it as well.)
Just build the new spawn , lot more fun then copying some build we already have.
Why don't we rather than just have one standard spawn and have crap stuff surround it, have a main build with other epic builds from others as well such as tober doc me mp glic craig dan mIKe w/e. that way everyone gets a chance at contributing to spawn and it makes it so that when a new player exits spawn they arent surrounded by sorry excuses for dirt shacks and 1x1 towers.
In the current spawn's own defence, the only things that closely resemble dirt shacks are on 3/4 sides...The flatlands has some pretty decent builds.
But I see what you mean. Not sure about it though, I mean, some people (Like me) prefer to keep some of their builds private, usually things I put the most time into I keep to myself, either that or I don't share due to the fact I used a texture pack while building it and it looks fucking hideous on default..But I know what you mean, it may work, but it's also good to give regs a chance to build near spawn and not just who is considered a more talented builder.
You can make the exclusion zone near spawn bigger, but they'll still just build the second they can place a block.
I say start over a new map, too many ghetto ghost towns while fun to look at and laugh at are all creepily deserted, it's like we have our own MC Bermuda Triangle.
I guess everyone wants a new map!
Hmm, is that not the 'new' spawn for the old build map we had a while back?..The one with the little spawn platform above a lake with a city around it?.
Could swear the spawn was moved to some shitty little thing about 5000 blocks out.
