And to the people arguing that they'll lose stuff: __m lost 96 diamond blocks last map, didn't pitch a fit about it. I lost all my diamond tools with some of the rarest enchantments, along with everything I worked on a map or two ago, didn't pitch a fit about it. We lost the entire bowl, which took an insane amount of resources and time, didn't pitch a fit about it. You guys have been working for a day at most
There is a Shit ton of land besides the ocean, Just because __M went the wrong direction and was unlucky finding land doesn't mean it isn't there!

This does not justify a new map; just because you and your team found a nice area, doesn't mean that everyone else has to stay with the current map

So you're saying someone putting months of effort into something is the same as someone putting a couple hours here and there into something? Pretty twisted logic if you ask me

We want to be able to go in any direction we please, so we aren't all cluttered in one spot

the problem is that they are islands in the first place and not continents.
But the point is there is alot of land wait till bukkit is out then add Dynmap. Then We Should decide if the map is mostly ocean. so until then keep the map for the next few days and advice for the ppl who cant find the land, Go south east form spawn

We were on continents until we decided to find an island. my last two houses on the server today were both part of the same continent.
sorry guys but being part of both groups (looking for land and having decent land) I know that some people have some good things going,and some are having trouble starting... but I think in a days worth of minecraft you can get loads done, like maybe finding decent land...
We don't need to wait for bukkit if someone has the seed they can usr amidst to see the world map. And I don't want a reset as I already found a home and not to mention a stronghold that I share with dutch. If we do reset let it be sooner rather than later
Most people agreed that moving spawn to a better location near full continents of land would fix most peoples problems, the only argument I see against it is that the nether hub wouldn't link up properly with 0,0. Personally I'm having a great start and want to keep the map but I see it's causing trouble for a ton of people and am willing to change the map for other peoples sake.
