"The arson wasn't that bad... Trust me I've seen WAY worse, like the great Chicago fires"

yeah that whole worse thing doesnt cut it.
My opinion on all of this is a 3-6 month ban for both of them. They're generally good players, and well liked enough. I wish there was like some sort of community service on the internet to repair the damage, but what's done is done and we shouldn't be putting so much time on this. No need to keep it going longer than necessary.

See how your logic doesn't work at all?

Oink, You can't do anything about murder, After its done it cannot be undone. But this grief can be fixed. I'll take the ban, whatever.
I'm done talking about this now.
You missed the point, starkiller had a better example. You're trying to make the grief sound less severe because 'worse has happened before'. You can't just fix the grief and get unbanned, the point is you shouldn't have griefed in the first place.

You guys knew what the consequences would be if you got caught but you did it anyway.
6 months seems a trifle harsh. 1 month seems more realistic, especially for Nitroft, since he did own up when he didn't need to.
We could always put them in a "void" where all they can do is rebuild.. Or something..

Turn them into our slaves, mwahaha!
slave labor sounds great
mR slave labor camps....I love it

I said 3-6 months for both because they made a thread about wanting equality, so why not give it to them? For how much trouble they caused, they would probably have gotten a perma ban if they weren't loyal regs. 6 months would still be much better than forever, but all I really want is for Michael/whoever banned them to make a decision on what's going to happen.

I did originally ask for Nitroft to get a reduced ban because he admitted to griefing but as George pointed out, Nitroft purposely misled the entire community that he was actually a victim (http://i.imgur.com/yrBG7fa.jpg). Honestly, I think the admission came too late and shouldn't earn him a reduced sentence... sorry Nit.
