Quote:Snapshot time! Quick overview of changes:

Trading with villagers has been updated
Enchantment system has been rebalanced
A new Redstone-activating block
Better Creative inventory
Pausing should work in single-player now
Some minor terrain changes
Added an “adventure” game mode (/gamemode 2), but requires more work
A lot of smaller changes and fixes
Get the snapshot here:

Client: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w22a/minecraft.jar
Server: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w22a/minecraft_server.jar (or EXE)

Quote:Time for a new snapshot! One big difference this time is that you don’t need the server jar to play single-player. Also,

Villagers will trade items (they are cheap bastards, though!)
Added a “currency item”
A few minor terrain changes
A new useful block/item (requires obsidian)
Added a /seed command for showing the map seed
Added sandstone stairs
A lot of smaller changes and fixes
Get the snapshot here:

Client: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w21a/minecraft.jar
Server: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w21a/minecraft_server.jar (or EXE)

Quote:It’s time for the weekly snapshot. We are continuing on the work to separate the client from the server, and have fixed a bunch of stuff related to that transition. We’ve also,

Added cocoa plants to jungles
Added a “large biomes” world type
Added specific names for the different sandstone and smooth stone blocks
Get the snapshot here:

Client: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w19a/minecraft.zip* (See below!)
Server: http://assets.minecraft.net/12w19a/minecraft_server.jar (or EXE)
* The client now comes with both the client-side and the server-side JAR files. The file called “minecraft.jar” should be in your “.minecraft/bin” folder as usual, and the “minecraft_server.jar” file should be in a folder called “.minecraft/server”.
