Like... Metallurgy. It adds another 8 or so ores to the game, changes how ores spawn and the spawn rate is configurable. We could install it, increase spawn rates of less rare metals like copper, decrease some iron spawning, etc., etc.
However, we would then have to wait for the mod to update... Also, the mod requires Forge. And a modified .jar to play on servers with it.
Maybe then... a mod that randomizes mob spawn rates? Like, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being practically swarms of mobs spawning, each night the mod randomly picks a rate and uses it for the night. With zombies now breaking down doors, it should be a lot more challenging.
I like the Metallurgy idea.. but for now maybe let ppl put one locketed doublebox full of whatever.. near spawn in a designated area for ease of transfer of stuff other than what is in their inventory?
(is that even possible?)

um... no ty, I play the game how notch and sir jeb made it. its not thier game if it has mods. besides, diamond is rare for a reason. for when you find it your heart takes a double take.

There's still the vanilla for absolute 0 changes to gameplay. I am interested in making it harder.

Personally I Play on this server for the player dynamic that comes from an anti greif survival game.. and truthfully we should try out the new version before trying to change anything, anyways the new A.I. looks like it'll make it harder already

Is the seed an option for recommendation? if so my girlfriend just found one that spawns you in the middle of an epic jungle (since jungles are the new thing figured it was worth mentioning)

ok it's an extreemely large jungle biome still in jungle 497 blocks out...
And btw when can we expect the update to take place? (already packed my char and downloaded 1.2)
