Digital Redstone Clock Project - dmanrules - 03-31-2013 Hello mR, this is just a quick demonstration on a project I've been working on in the last few days on build 1. The original idea was to design a digital clock that was in time with the real world. About half way into the project I figured it would be next to impossible to do it. I decided I didn't want to ditch the project completely so I decided I may as well try a different approach. So I changed my mind and decided to turn it into a digital clock that is in, in game minecraft time. Here is my first ever test of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4fwthDcLBo In this project I used CNB's memory cell design. I used two 12x7 cells and two 10x7 for the memory. The display is 11x7 per screen and there's one screen per memory cell. I used pulse limiters to activate each cell in series. The seconds in the clock count up in 3 seconds at a time, similar to CNB's. The project is very much W.I.P as I still haven't even picked a skin for it. Feedback and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Also anybody with an idea for the skin or would like to design the skin for it, please post here. You can go to the project in game at /warp clock but please don't change anything without asking me first. Thanks for reading. RE: Digital Redstone Clock Project - bmanrules - 03-31-2013 Having seen it this is actually awesome. The amount of work Dman put into this definitely paid off and it's just amazing. RE: Digital Redstone Clock Project - Starkiller666 - 03-31-2013 i, too have seen it and i do say it is awesome. RE: Digital Redstone Clock Project - JackFlash - 04-01-2013 I think you could make the digits light up by using the pistons behind the display to push redstone blocks up against redstone lamp blocks. Thanks guys and thanks for the idea, I'll be sure to consider it when I make the skin for it RE: Digital Redstone Clock Project - Michael - 04-01-2013 Very cool! RE: Digital Redstone Clock Project - bmanrules - 04-01-2013 So, at 0:42....The clock spells out 1337 |
