Small game I've been working on - bmanrules - 10-31-2013 Hey guys, Over the past week or two I've been messing around in Unity3d and I decided to try my hand at making a Minecraft/Zelda themed RPG. It's in early days right now and there is still a lot to improve, but I figured I'd post it here and get some criticism! Controls: Left Click - Attack/Shoot Z - Switch weapons F - Open HangGlider WASD - Move Space - Jump Currently, there's a nice little area to explore and 3 cubes that will attack you if they get close (They can be killed). Jumping while attacking will earn you a critical hit too! When your hangGlider is open, Look downwards to dive and fly into the wind tunnels to get a boost upwards. There is some water nearby that you can jump into to sail around in (Still WIP) and a key that can be collected. The companion cube can be picked up using RMB and carried around. Doors can be no-clipped through (still working on animations) Web version can be found here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43137848/Dare/Downloads.html and download it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43137848/Dare/Downloads.rar Screenshots: Thanks! RE: Small game I've been working on - EvilLink - 10-31-2013 This makes me want to try coding games too. What are you using to code it? Looks great btw RE: Small game I've been working on - bmanrules - 10-31-2013 (10-31-2013, 09:21 AM)EvilLink Wrote: This makes me want to try coding games too. What are you using to code it? Looks great btw I'm using Unity3d with Javascript (and C# for some scripts) RE: Small game I've been working on - EvilLink - 10-31-2013 Thanks, I'm gonna go into a hole now and learn how to code. :::::::::Merged Post:::::::::: And maybe make a multi-million dollar company off my game. Hey, I can dream. lol RE: Small game I've been working on - Axehacker32 - 10-31-2013 I shall download it as soon as I get home. RE: Small game I've been working on - Rated - 10-31-2013 Nice! Been waiting for this for a while, great job! But two things, the mouse is way too sensitive, and when you walk it looks like you're bouncing around a bit :p. Other that that, awesome! I'll definitely adjust the mouse sensitivity - the bouncing is a headbobbing script, but I'll have the option to turn it off in settings later. RE: Small game I've been working on - Axehacker32 - 10-31-2013 It's a really great start! As Rat3d said mouse sensitivity is a bit high but not that hard to get used to. I noticed that the water in the mountain pond seems to be square and go through the sides of the mountain too, but I really like it and can't wait for next update. Lots of potential in this I think. Yeah the water is a square mesh with a wave script, but I'll be removing the lake in the final version, so for now I'll square out the mountain to make it fit properly RE: Small game I've been working on - MP29 - 11-02-2013 Bman, i am impressed. epic shit! |
