So heres some critical questions and things.

1: What happens when a City leader dies? or anybody for that matter.
Certain circumstances? exactly what and how should we go about that

2: Get your cities story ready and post it, we need to compile it all into the Wiki.
Same for characters, or ideas to come.

3: Do you all want to use oinks hard worked on Texture compilation? I do. Tell me what you think.

4: Got ideas for rules? Going to make the full RP rule and organized setting topic soon.

Maybe when a town ruler "dies" the next in line is given control of the town, but he is given the option of reviving the original owner via necromancy?

Are you going to have permadeath on the rp server anyway? maybe you should work out what it means when someone "dies", like perhaps they are knocked unconcious and rescued, or they have to be revived or somesuch.

You don't have to use it but I would really appreciate it if we could use this pack for the roleplay. I spent a lot of time on it, getting zero hours of sleep one night.

My city is almost ready,just need a few homes copy&pasted around the place and also I am going to be building my watermill as soon as I get the plan worked out for it,

The story,I have not even thought of starting yet,I guess I'm going to do that tomorrow.

If michiel can code up a plugin that works along side a class plugin like heroes,then a necromancer class would have access to the commands to revive a player quickly,if not then a command activates that,I don't know,kicks a player for about 10 mins?(Just an idea lol)

As far as texture packs go,I think we should use oink's.All the cities I have visited look amazing on it,so yus.Oink's tp has my vote.

As for number 5..

Wilderness should operate on a free for all section while off the roads (You leave the road, you are walking into a PVP zone)

Hey everyone,
going straight to point 1 mentioned by Whodoctor,
I think we should "grade" death.

something like..
-A..fall in lava,drowning, falling too hard from height, no food, mining accident,ripped apart by a creeper

-B. death due to war or duels, robbery ,heist, coup, or trapdeaths/boobytraps in cities.

IF someone dies, in the RP, IC by one of the points mentioned in A, i presume we should grade this certain death as returnable,
jailtime, or like a kick plugin mentioned would be an idea.
IF someone dies, in the RP, IC in one of the points mentioned in B, we should agree on terms, loosing rank points, (everyone same rank system in their city) , or lives, or ??.


We should have basic rules to prevent things going wrong inside the RP.
Metagaming. i.e. ppl talk on ts, go ingame and do it. cant happen.
these things need a rule from the start.
are there plugins for ranks?



And if we get in a nice war do these battles occur in our cities?
Do they get planned in forum after being declared IC and/or
do they be pronounced ingame IC, and afterwards in forum just to have ppl online at the same time when the war will commence?
setting date time all that, and thinking further then we can make "war appoiintments" so ppl can record it for a nice vid..

i got alot alot ideas and thoughts , as above, but alot is crap, and some is usefull.
its one big pile of chaos. it needs to be sorted. so all i say is just an idea or view.

certain huge areas with ruins in it for a nice video of a battle.

Yes, the rumors are true, I found a great place for a town in a pretty isolated area. I was going to call it "Avalon". It had a great mountain that you could level off and make a temple of some sorts. It also had a river flowing through a desert area filled with oases and even a lava oasis! It had mooshroom areas, to say the least, it was pretty great. If an Op/Admin would like to host it I could help with the building possibly, if not I would like to ask for Re-Admittance to Greywind.

I can see accidental or unintentional death being an issue from time-to-time (such as creepers, falling, pvp griefing, etc), so I believe that permadeath should be handled in an "event-style" manner. For example, if one city-state captured another's king, they could do an execution-esc event him/her. As for replacing important characters...if no one wants to step up to the plate, I suppose the same player can just create a 'replacement' or heir (or whatever).

Yes. I think it's a good idea to have a "standardized" look, so when players are in a city or whatnot, they're all seeing the same thing (so to speak).

I think standard dont-dick-up-the-rp-server rules apply here. Y'know, the common sense kind-of-shit we expect from mature players.
ie. no metagaming, no griefing, no revenge killing, no 'godmoding', respect others, communicate before acting, use ooc chat, etc.

My idea of the wilderness, is that it is a land for those who wish to be separate from the cities, but also a place for players to freely hunt, mine, log, or rob-at-swordpoint as needed. As for pvp, it might be worthwhile to have safe-zoned roads that go through the wilderness if some players wish to avoid conflict (this could come at a price, such as a longer road, mob spawning, or a toll fee to travel that road). More collaboration on this is definitely needed.

No, but I'll kick my ass into gear and finish my shit. However, once It's done I may request creative mode from time-to-time to update/re-loot my dungeons.

too late to start new towns or cities

1. Is there a Nether town? I think a good idea would be that dead people are sent to the Nether where they have to complete tasks to get reborn some time, but those would be very hard so the player can also make a new character if he doesn't want to do that Nether stuff.

Also I think there should be applications for characters to getin the RP, which get a role in the story. That would avoid stupid out-of-context characters that are not put any effort in.
But also what do we do with people that play an important role but never come online?
