But to what extent? Will this mean our permissions (CP, OTA, dispatch, ect.) will be removed as well? Like a clean restart with the whole application thing?

I'm really for you guys giving this a shot, and glad some of you are stepping up. However, do we really need do give out FTP freely? That's pretty much giving someone full unrestricted access to the server.
