What do you think would be fitting to have in Minecraft as an update? Personally, I'd like to see:
1. Being able to break glass, glowstone, redstone, etc. by shooting an arrow at it
2. Water-filled cauldrons hydrating tilled soil
3. Growing specific crops in flower pots
4. Climbable rope
5. Additional doors, trapdoors, half-doors of different materials (Glass, Iron, Other Wood types)
6. Tables, chairs and shelves
7. Lighting fixes
8. Metal ladders
9. Linkable cocopans
10. Sittable chairs and stair blocks
11. More light fixtures
12. Redstone-infused walls
13. Additional paintings and option to choose which one to place
14. Openable windows
15. Cloud fix
16. Y-axis build limit increased to 512 (Anyone who's building skyscrapers will rejoice)
17. Block damage

I'm sure there are mods for all of these, but to actually have them implemented into Vanilla Minecraft would be lovely. Feel free to post your ideas and opinions.

Furniture/interior decor update.
Large paintings (10x10 20x20 etc) P.S like the painting selection idea
more weapons (spears, throwing knives, daggers, stuff like that)
Redstone wiring (able to place on ceiling, and walls without being so noticable)

Leaves(say you make a pit you could place leaves so you could fall through, also vanilla quicksand.

I just thought of one more - Paintable-side wool blocks. Using a dye on a wool block placed in the world would change the color of the side you used the dye on. This would work great on signs and buildings, inside and out. To change the whole block at once, place wool and a dye to a crafting interface. We can already paint wolf collars, dye leatherand have biome-specific color on foliage. It wouldn't take hundreds of thousands of textures either - just 6 such textures for each side.

#1 for me a STEP block for every type of building block.

at present this is not the case only some exist, its completely retarded how this hasnt been done already

I would like to see the ability to mix half-blocks.
Example: stone slab and wood half step in same space..
.. or 2 different wood half steps on top of each other in same block space.

Also, more redsotne contraptions would be nice. Like gears, chains, and pistons that can raise things to a slope.
