Some guys on a different server told me a solution they found to the problem which WoM only briefly mentioned. I should have tried it earlier, and I'm glad to say that I've tested it on our server and it works.
Here's the link to WoM's tutorial of the solution.

I thought it was kinda confusing, so I'll provide a step-by-step tutorial.
First off, you're going to have to go to http://www.minecraft.net, the main minecraft webpage, login, then click the Minecraft Classic; Multiplayer Servers on the right hand side of the page.
Once you're there, there will be a small search box that you type server names into to find any server in the list. For the City of Rapture server, simply type "mikes" into the search bar, and it should display ours. If not, remember, our server name is City of Rapture - mIKes-ReVeNGe.
Next, click the server name, and you'll be in the server.
It might take a bit to load. Once you're online, right click outside of the java interface (I.E. the black area where you play the game) and a dropdown will appear. Choose "View Page Source". On Firefox and Chrome, you can also use the "Ctrl+U" shortcut.
You're going to find a huge amount of code in front of you. Scroll down to code lines 78-85 (Designated by the numbers on the left side of the page). I'll be posting an image of what you'll be looking for, but here are the data values you need to find.
param name="username"
param name="server"
param name="port"
param name="mppass"
Once you have all of this, open up the WoM Client. On the bottom of the client will be the "Direct Connect" address box. Type in the following.
mc://(Server IP-#s from server param)Server Port-#s from port param)/(Your Username)/(mppass-#s and letters from param mppass)
In my case, I would type in..
mc://209.222.66.26:25560/GeneralApathy/6ae7e40220e1c63d44d0968c73657a53
Just a warning; you may suddenly get disconnected from the game. This is usually due to the mppass changing, so just reinput the same mc://, but with the updated mppass code, found when doing the page source/Ctrl+U shortcut.
Glad to help with those having classic issues, can't wait for Tobias to finally fix the server list connectivity. Hope this will suffice you all for the time being! ^^
