No new map. Most people on the server have already settled in nice biomes (including a Mesa which are extremely rare) and have horses with diamond armour, houses, farms, animals, and more. Most people are complaining that there are too many oceans, however the size of oceans was decreased in 1.7, and I have yet to come across any that haven't been next to large landmasses. Others have complained that the map is all islands but I had a teleport around and found the "Islands" to be really big, plenty to build on.
