Sorry I meant to reply earlier:
1. I've already spoken to Marco in game on this and cleared up a few things.
2. Dev is an OP who's judgement I implicitly trust without any shadow of doubt.
3..Dev had reported the incident to another Op who informed me of what had actually happened.
I've still to talk to Dev but right now this is nothing more than a misunderstanding/misconception.
The equipment has been replaced
Once I talk to Dev I'll know the full story.
