System Problems

After several attempts at forcefully ending my firefox process this morning, I have stumbled upon a few .dll errors that hinder my ability to do action on my system.

What would appear at bootup and login are three "cannot find .dll" errors for "dwmapi.dll". Then a single program to fail to find "HID.dll" and then to "Cabinet.dll"

Attempts at loading up Teamspeak would result in a "cannot find dbghelp.dll" error and recently a "AVRT.dll"

My only attempts at repairing were several System Restorations.
Edit: It would also appear that my system's sound control cannot detect any open programs leaving me mute.

Well, what would you define as "doing any action"? Exactly what can you and can you not do?

Also, how far did system restore fix your PC? If you're using Windows 7, don't be afraid to use it; it almost never removes any documents, and the only ones it ever does remove were causing the problem in the first place.

If worst comes to worst, there's always Linux or Ubuntu.

Use sfc.exe /scannow as stated by Flatcher.
Open Command Prompt with Run as Adminstrator
After that, I recommend doing a chkdsk /f /r on Command Prompt with Adminstrator also.Which will fix any errors and check for any bad sectors on your harddrive.
Try also http://www.dll-files.com/ which you could download the missing .dll and put it into your windows folder.

If all else fails. There is Windows 8 Consumer Preview which works pretty well. I been using it on my very old laptop and it works fine. Uses even less resources then windows 7 however at the stake of learning some new shortcuts. If Windows 8 Consumer Preview is not a option. Use Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit or Fedora.
