It's probably a browser setting. You can usually adjust what the default font, size and color of text a browser will display. Go looking around the options menu.

I don't know anything about windows 8 but with most bsd and unix window managers like openbox ect, ob themes affect child windows like a internet browser or leafpad. A windows 8 theme or even maybe a chrome theme could be altering the styles of the website. Just a hunch, just another place you can investigate.

im having a slight idea that win8 has changed everything for me, if its chrome, i dunno, im not that technical

I ve been looking into the options of chrome and couldnt find anything about adjusting background colours, only changing font size and browser zooming.

hmmz.

I did find on the bottom of this forum a tab "boardstyles", it does change the style completely to white background and black text if i set it to mR mobile,
but im sure thats not the solution of this ordeal.

Ill keep on searching.

Ok, this is weird but i think i found it.
Win8 is changing everything, in each browser too
(i got IE and firefox and Chrome on my win8 pc, and all give same problem as mentioned above)

BUT

i just installed IE again on my old win7 pc and it gives white text on grey background. (like bman's screenshot, as it should be)

So it is the browser, but not the one on a win8 pc.

Seems win8 changes everything in any browser installed in win8.

how strange is this?

i only get it as it should be on my old win7 pc, and only in InternetExplorer.
in chrome and firefox its black text.

Pretty sure mIKe uses chrome on windows 8 like a hipster. Should ask him how it appears.
