Just explored a 1.7 map in default, found a taiga hills biome that was literally as big or even bigger than most large biomes I've seen

default biomes really aren't that small, I think they're the perfect size

Also large biomes cause lag because people are going so far out just to look for their biome. Plus i like default because we are all much closer. But there is a plus side to large biomes we do get more NPC villages and all that other stuff.

You know wether we use large or default biomes we'll go far right?

Well yeah, but it would be further with large biomes. Like before Rec had to go 80k blocks just to find another mushroom biome.

Mushroom islands are a lot more common now i think and they are almost always touching land
