New map?

There have been lots of complaints about how terrible the current legit map is. However some people think that after a 24 hour period, there has been to much work put in to update the map. Post what you think

The bowl on the old legit server (months of work, so many diamonds) was lost, nobody complained. That's how servers work, sometimes you have to lose work. However only a day's work at most has been done by some, that is no reason at all to keep this map

No new map. Most people on the server have already settled in nice biomes (including a Mesa which are extremely rare) and have horses with diamond armour, houses, farms, animals, and more. Most people are complaining that there are too many oceans, however the size of oceans was decreased in 1.7, and I have yet to come across any that haven't been next to large landmasses. Others have complained that the map is all islands but I had a teleport around and found the "Islands" to be really big, plenty to build on.

Why not just move spawn?

But as Oink said its only a day's work, You can easily get this stuff back. And if people aren't happy with the map, its better to do it now before people get too attached to their things. And personally I don't like listening to all the complaining and arguing, so please just do another map.

No new map. Me and my team have settled in Mesa (which very rare and took us all day to find) and we have horses with DIAM ARMOUR etc.. Most the people which have been on today have put effort into this as it doesn't matter how long you took its about the effort that you put. And if u go North east (i think) there is a large land mass with many biomes.

I have played on many a minecraft map, and this one is by far the most terrible I have ever seen. Every land mass is just a small island with more ocean on all sides. This map has no redeeming qualities; it must be burned, maimed, or otherwise destroyed by any means necessary or unnecessary.

Not every landmass is, heck a good few people have found large continents and live on them.

This does not justify a new map; just because you and your team found a nice area, doesn't mean that everyone else has to stay with the current map

So you're saying someone putting months of effort into something is the same as someone putting a couple hours here and there into something? Pretty twisted logic if you ask me

We want to be able to go in any direction we please, so we aren't all cluttered in one spot

No New Map! we have spent all day today getting stuff, we have horses with diam armour and we live in a mesa biome.(Which is really rare) it's not about how many days weve been on working, It's about how much effort you have put in. And for us, it's a hell of alot!

You can go in any direction you please. I teleported around to everyone who was complaining and most of the islands were huge and full of trees/plains perfect for living in.
