Hearthstone on iPad

So I play this game called hearthstone and was so exited when earlier today I found out it had been released on iPad. Now as I'm on holiday and couldn't play it on PC I thought I would download it on iPad and then play a few games. So I downloaded this and waited in excitement as it downloaded and when it was ready clicked the app - only for it to tell me it's only for 2nd generation + .....

That sucks. Whats Heartstone about? I think I've heard of it before.

It's a card game by blizzard that Is basically Wow but in cards - its hard to explain look it up
