Hi all, got a good deal on this system (refurbished by Asus). how will it go on BF4 and similar games? I know the video card will have to be upgraded, but what about the rest of the system?

You may want a few more cores in your processor, other than that looks pretty sweet!

That looks pretty decent if the price is good. More cores as mike said would be good but BF4 and stuff will still run on 2. For a video card I would recommend something like an R7 260X or GTX 750 Ti, depending on whichever company you like.

don't really know Oink.. shopping around atm. I don't need a "ball tearing" PC, but the vid card has to go for sure.

Pretty much what everybody else said. maybe upgrade the processor later and a good gpu would be the 750ti or maybe a 760 depending on your budget.

My personal view is anything above like the $180 pricepoint is overkill for video cards unless you're playing games maxed out at 1080p or higher, which you won't be doing in a lot of games with that processor anyway. Might need to turn settings down to high or medium in some cases, but you shouldn't have any issues running games.

My build is an x4 750K @ stock speeds with an R9 270 overclocked to 1050 core and like 1500 memory, and that's enough to run the majority of games I own maxed or near max (average 55 fps in BF3 at stock speeds), and you would get slightly better performance with a 760, or slightly worse with a 750ti. Just trying to give a bit more insight as to what kind of performance you would be paying for :P
