A while back i started working on the ideas for a massive highly detailed fantasy world, it wasn't until recently that I had the idea to make the world the setting for a MMORPG.

The current ROP team isn't doing much so I'm the main contributor. The reason I say possibly is because NONE OF US KNOW HOW TO CODE!

The game is set mainly in the sprawling continent of Paga (pronounced Pay-jaw). I'm the one who chooses what goes into the bowl of confirmed features and ideas from the idea pot but anybody who wants to help can become a member of the team by using the suggestions box:Found here

What we also need are players! we have some great perks for Pre-Alpha players down the road including a special race and location.

So if you know how to code feel free to help us with pre-alpha's isometric style before we reach a finalized 3D first person style.
Sounds cool and all, but how are you going to make an mmo if none of you can code?
I found an engine a while ago for making 2d pokemon style mmorpg's , but coding a first person MMO isn't a job for a small team, especially when you have no coders, only engine I can think of is source, but player amounts are limited and maps are small. Basically, I could code a 2d one, but 3d is very out of limits for a first time group
I mentioned that the Pre-Alpha was going to have Isometric 3rd person graphics and the map would contain less cities and more important places, also since gameplay is more about the players then NPC's we wouldn't have to worry about much in the way of quest-givers. Thus until I can find a good coding team I'm going to settle on what I, and anybody who helps me can do.
Well the MMORPG engine I found isn't exactly isometric, Imagine the Pokemon GBA games but in MMORPG form and as high or low res graphics as required. It even has a currency system, NPC creation API ( With a shop system) and Item Creation API so adding new items and NPCs is easy. Plus maps can be designed in-game while the server is running. I could try work on this
I'll consider that for Early pre-alpha until I actually do get around to getting better graphics, I'm not sure I trust a game about animal abuse though.
Animal abuse? I don't mean the engine has Pokemon :P I mean the 2d style is similar to Pokemon and LTTP, All the engine needs is a tilesheet and it will be easy to make maps etc
Okay, I'm not the best at sprite making but I could make a few temporary sprites and tiles that will look awful, anybody who feels like it can make them look ALOT! better.
HUZZA! looking through my files to see if I deleted Dwarf Fortress, I FOUND A DECENT SPRITE SHEET! No honestly, now we can start development... possibly.
Would you like to post the spritesheet :P. I'll have a look at it and pm you.
