I swear, if this keeps up, everyone is just going to outsource their servers to other countries, like say, Brazil, Canada, India. Anywhere the American government doesn't have legislation.
actually, megavideo was hong-kong based, and they were arrested while they were in New Zealand. so apparantly american jurastiction extends everywhere now.

This could mean that it will apply to all american copyrighted material regardless of the location of the server its on.

The same has happened to german movie streaming website called kino.to
The owner was arrested and the website shut down
It was back under a week later with a new name
Im pretty sure that megaupload will be back sooner or later
I don't care about mega upload. They did illegal stuff, and they didn't even care. On the other hand, sopa could shut a website down for simply showing a let's play of a game, or a movie review, or they could shut down a video just because a certain song was playing in the background.
