Still was shite
Here is what we need in the order of how we need it:

1. Storyline/lore/universe and rules
2. Map based off step 1
3. server plugins configured around step 1
4. I cant think of 4 yet, but Ill get there.
We also need to determine whether or not we are going to go with a texture pack, BEFORE we start building. We would also need said texture pack to be updated often, so a custom thrown together pack is out of the question.
So Odin, would you be up to start writing the lore and/or storyline? I think I could do a quick draft of the rules and we can all generally agree/disagree on certain ones. Xenol is making the map and I think I could write up a decent plugins list we could all add to. First thing is first, we need to expand on the idea of a medieval roleplay server so that we don't have completely different understandings of what the lore will be like. What style of building (european, asian etc) and other stuff like that.
I would say either John Smith or Douku Dark, and there are more than enough blocks in minecraft now for dutch to find some that look right for his buildings Wink
I could have a rough draft of the lore finished by later tonight. I agree that we need to agree on rules and textures beforehand. Also Dman; Please, no towny.

We can contain various styles into one, the first draft world I've created goes from snowy mountains in north, plains, forests, deserts, swamps and jungles.

Basic Map design. Click Photo To Enlarge
The white area at the top is snow and mostly pine forest, the grey line is a mountain range, the rest of the top island is deciduous forest. On the lower island, there is the plains on the top left and a birch/deciduous forest on the top right. The green band below is a jungle, and the yellow is desert. Also of note, the grey blob at the very top left of the top island, is where my castle will be, ontop of a stone plateaux.

-Knarlwood
-Evermore V1
-Everything

For a Medieval theme, I have no interest, I'm more deep twisted fantasy and magic tech, or airships. Just plain kingdoms as such is too boring, but goodluck to the rest. I'm not too fond of following a project or somebody's build, I prefer to go my own way.

Oink, go make a new texture pack, it wasn't that bad.
Let Dutch forge his Asian kingdoms and everything will be glorious, and everybody will fall to Asian superiority.

You could build dungeons if fantasy is you thing! Dungeons make up the bread and butter of RP servers, providing players with fun, eiry places to get loot - ect.
Heres the initial download for the world. http://www.mediafire.com/download/byo0vd...nge_RP.zip
Spawn in the very top left of the map.
