Roleplaying: the acting out or performance of a particular role, either consciously (as a technique in psychotherapy or training) or unconsciously, in accordance with the perceived expectations of society with regard to a person's behavior in a particular context.

That other thing: Different.

Pedantic: adj Giving too much attention to formal rules or small details.

So what would you have us do then odin?
Roleplay, obviously. In my opinion more of a focus on actual roleplaying and less on killing things continually forever and ever sounds much better.

Odin, RP servers die when people get bored of them. I know YOU have an unlimited well of patience for such things, but if we can possible ever hope to make this server possible, we have to make it more gripping. Role play would still be the focus, with the pseudonyms, and the speech, and the jobs, and everything else, but with some more things thrown in. These dungeons would only be there for those who would rather risk everything than work on a farm or something to earn the money to pay their lord for a new sword :P
I see your point... But in real life who would just build a random dungeon in the middle of nowhere and fill it with zombies?

You have to be cleverer than that. You want and immersive feeling for RP, so make something like an abandoned manor house somewhere off the main road. If people go to investigate, they will find a book with some sort of backstory, and a basement leading to the dungeon tomb of yadayadayada... you get my meaning. And as to who would build it, once people have finished their towns they should have the responsibility of adding a few dungeons scattered around the world. (not too many as to make it cheesy)
Yes. I was agreeing with you and the idea had already occurred to me. I was however, making reference to the common trope of Fantasy Roleplaying games where pointless dungeons full of dead stuff are in the middle of nowhere for no reason.

Which I agree is undesirable, but Im sure we will find a way to integrate something of the sort into the world nicely.
I tried out the map and noticed a few things:

The Taiga Forest's floor is made up of cobblestone (Trees don't grow on cobblestone :P)

The area around the base of the mountain is very jagged and uneven making it really difficult to climb, plus there are a few weird half mountain tower style objects jutting out that seem very unnatural.

I think we should plan out each location and it's lore then remodel/remake the map based off of that

Understood and agreed.
