Review of my newest first
The SmokTech Bolt
I got this in a madvapes grab bag ($30) and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Mine is a reddish-orange color
and came with a black extension ring for supporting a 18650 battery (They probably lost the original color ring hence
why they threw it in a grab bag) and it looks epic even with the mismatched ring (almost looks cooler).
It hits really nice with the included Artemas Slim tank (even at only 1.5) and rarely leaves you with dry hits. The
warning I should give is that this doesn't have an over-draw mechanism so if you hold down the button too long the
battery could explode or damage the device (You'd need to hold it down for like 3 minutes though) so I don't suggest
storing it somewhere it could potentially be pinned against something and the button held down (Like a backpack)
but should be fine for pocket storage. However this warning applies to all tube mods and shouldn't surprise an
experienced vaper.
Another note is that it apparently doesn't support 2.1A tanks or carts (doesn't fire on my iclear 30's or 2.1 kanger slims)
but my experience might be limited to just my selection of tanks.
The anodized aluminum casing on the tube is really the nicest feature of this mod. The normal bolts are around $9
but are made of ABS plastic and are easily broken and look like crap, however this is milled out of one solid piece of
aluminum which has been color anodized to give it a smooth finish that looks awesome and sleek as all hell (Most
people will think its some kind of cologne bottle or something) and the small size makes this a great out-and-about mod.
You can pick up this mod at madvapes or smoktech (Mad vapes includes 1x tank, 1x charger, 1x 2250mAh IMR battery,
and extension ring).
It's cheaper at smoktech if you want just the mod, but madvapes carries the whole kit if you're just starting out. Accepts
protected 18500 and 18650 batteries (IMR suggested).
Happy Vaping!
