steam account hijacked currently waiting for it back

I really hope you get it back but the chance isn´t big... but maybe you could tell them your old password?

That wouldn't work because the hijacker has the password.

If you changed your password because someone else has it, and they said the password of old, they would get the account, and people would wonder why their passwords are changing. (so many commas...)

Now what I don't understand about this thread is that when you try to log on to steam you get a 5 character key sent to your email, so he'd have to be on a computer you've logged in on or have your email account too.

You've also said he changed the email that steam uses to contact. That probably also requires email verification from the old email... and if he used "I forgot my email" or something, (is this possible?) then it seems theres a lack of due process here.

Any corrections needed here?

you can still get it back using the original credit card or receipt+cd key from one of your associated games.

you can get your email account back in similar ways. you can also just use a different email account and contact steam.
